And we will also be helping indirectly if/when we get funding to do the Guide to Thai Elephant Laws and Stakeholders with Richard Lair as a way of informing people in the run-up to CITES CoP 2013.

  • Belinda Stewart-Cox is high on the list of expats to look out for at the moment, since it was announced that her Elephant Conservation Network, based in Kanchanaburi, has been selected by Prince William and his fiance, Catherine Middleton, as one of the recipients of their wedding charitable gift fund. The donation will be made through the the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).

    Correction: Belinda Stewart-Cox left the Seub Foundation in 1999, and founded ECN with Jittin Ritthirat.
